Desperate for a late Sunday lunch, without a booking, they fitted us in. We were really grateful. The food was good, the staff friendly and efficient. My daughter in law loved the sticky toffee pudding.
We went for a 60th birthday meal. Our table was reserved for 10 people but smaller parties can walk in and take your chances. Service was good and we pre ordered our meals but some changed on the night which wasn't a problem. I had an haggis and black pudding stack with bacon and a peppercorn sauce which was very tasty followed by a mixed grill which was cooked very nice and as asked for. The atmosphere was vibrant but you could have conversations. Some had desserts my daughter had a brownie and flapjack with ice cream which she said was really chocolatey and gooey with a rich chocolate sauce.
Brilliant meal on New Years Day 2019. Nikki provided excellent service. Third year we have visited for New Year.
Lovely place set in a beautiful village. You should visit this place if passing through, although a bit on the pricey side, it's well worth it. Me and my partner had the small beer battered cod fish and chips for 7.50. The fish was fresh, the batter was light and crispy, with just enough to fill you up, without too much stodge. It was exceptional and we will definitely be going back for a second visit very soon
