Some years ago I went with my husband and a friend to have a drink. It was crowded, with loud music. An old man with his drink came to speak to us. He made a racist comment to me. It wasn't the Pub's fault, and I don't like fights so I didn't complaint to anyone, just did like I didn't hear him, went to the toilet, finished my drink and went back home. But beware people who are not British, I wouldn't recommend this place for a drink, as this person could be a regular, specially if you don't have a calm and strong will like me. I'm sure he'll be thinking he won that night somehow with his comment. The truth is... he's just a racist, and I don't bother with people like him. Sorry man, when I went back home, I don't mean I went back to 'my country' whether you like it or not XDDD
Loved it..Great traditional pub and real village atmosphere
Was my place to go for many years until I moved to the Forest great staff great people friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately I read with dismay that the owners of the pub and land have put it on the market for sale? A truly legend of a pub will be sold off another casualty of greed and one less Real Pub in Frodsham?
Great band playing The Kola Cubes great night
Good beer. Helpful staff. They have live music on at weekends.
